I am currently doing my Undergraduate Degree in Religion and English Literature at Concordia University. I am looking to pursue Graduate School in Religion OR doing an MATL In Secondary English.
Experience
I spend a lot of time volunteering with children, grade school age, and I love that. I have done a lot of work with them and have assisted them with their homework. Due to the fact that I am looking into Secondary Education, I need to gain more experience with middle school/high school aged youth. One of the things that I think helps me be able to connect with children is because I listen to them and am able to assess their needs. I talk to them, I am able to know what their interests are, and they are receptive to that. I want to be a tutor because it is simple, I like helping people. I like to assist people in any way that I can in order to help them be successful. Whenever I am helping someone, I always have their best interest in mind, and will go to lengths to make sure what I am doing is working for them. I am a patient person and I think that goes a long way when it comes to turoting.

Hobbies
I love reading books, and I happily call myself a bookworm. I also am a writer, so that is something else I am passionate about. I think reading is important and helps to educate people. I also love to learn and help others. Helping people is a genuine passion to me and I believe is a calling. I also like to talk, and have conversations, and while tutoring is academic it is important to get to know the person, and be able to be personable with them.
