Private tutor in Montréal, Canada
Education
I have a Master's in Teaching and Learning from McGill University and a Liberal Arts degree in History and Philosophy from Concordia University. I made the Dean's list as both an undergraduate and a graduate student. I also graduated with honors from Loyola High School.
Experience
I am a high school history teacher currently employed at Montreal's leading global school Lower Canada College. I have an in-depth mastery of teaching, history, English, geography, and philosophy; however, my ability to teach effective writing, excellent study habits, and time management are crucial for all of my pupils. I have experience working with students from Kindergarten to Grade 11. As a tutor, I've assisted students in History, English, Geography, Reading, English Language Arts, English as a second language, French as a second language, and essay prep. I have a Quebec teaching certificate and five years of classroom teaching experience (two years elementary school French support and three years high school).

Hobbies
My hobbies and interests are: cooking, music performance and composition, current events, and reading. When I was a student, I struggled before I excelled. This part of my academic and personal history allows me the ability to reach students who are struggling and need a greater amount of initial support, as well as students who are already excelling and want to refine their already honed skills. My students often describe me as approachable and fun. I believe that any student can achieve his/her potential when the material being studied is relevant to them. As such, one of my strengths as an educator is finding ways to make material interesting to students.
