Private tutor in Montréal, Canada

Education

I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Philosophy and Communication at National Chengchi University in Taipei.

Experience

I'm a Mandarin Chinese Native speaker who can understand both simplified and traditional Chinese. As a working mandarin translator and tutor, I provide a tailored made curriculum according to each student's needs. For beginners, we would usually start by learning Chinese spelling (Pinyin) and accurate pronunciation by practicing useful terms and phrases. For students at the intermediate or advanced level, we start by engaging in fun conversations about daily life and students learn how to employ correct grammar and construct sentences. I have been working as a Mandarin Chinese tutor since 2013, and as a traditional Chinese translator and editor since 2015. Since 2014 I have worked as a freelance translator and have worked on publications such as The Perfect Kill: 21 Laws for Assassins written by Robert B. Baer and published by Blue Rider Press in 2014 (published by Faces Publishing LTD. in Taiwan in 2015). I previously worked as a teaching assistant for 1 year for the course Introduction to Popular Culture Studies at Brock University.
