I am an experienced Chinese tutor who natively speaks Mandarin and Teochew and also speaks Cantonese. I have Chinese tutoring experience at the beginner and intermediate levels in Xiamen, China, and I have also tutored middle and high school students in the Chinese language and culture in the Czech Republic. I was a business English major, so I feel that I would be great at explaining the Chinese language to students of any level. I can help with any aspect of Chinese, including how to pronounce common words, write Chinese characters with the appropriate brushstrokes, utilize proper sentence structure, and more. I can also model what Chinese sounds like at conversational speeds, allowing students to practice in a realistic environment. As you gain experience, we can even conduct entire sessions in Chinese to force you to deepen your understanding of the language. Of course, we can also take it slow if you prefer.
