Education
I am a certified Orton-Gillingham instructor and received my BA in English Language and Literature from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University. I also obtained a Specialization in Human Relations with Distinction from Concordia University, and certification in Inclusive Education (Special Needs) from McGill University.
Experience
I have experience tutoring in a number of subjects, including reading, reading and writing for dyslexic students, and tutoring based on the Orton-Gillingham method. I specialize in working with special needs students, and those with disabilities (learning or otherwise). I've also worked with the Wilson Reading System. I was employed as a Literacy Specialist, at Lester B. Pearson School in Verdun, Montreal, Quebec. I also tutored students with disabilities at Concordia University, in Montreal Quebec. The focus of my education and my work has been helping special needs grade school students who struggle with dyslexia or other learning disabilities to achieve literacy and overcome their disadvantages.
