Education
I have a Master of Science degree in physical geography from the University of Alberta. Some of the subjects that I studied during my time as a student include geographic information systems, ecological modeling, conservation, sustainability, and remote sensing.
Experience
I am a private tutor who specializes in earth science and related subjects. I have worked extensively as a teaching assistant while I was going to school for my graduate degree, and I've written and delivered college-level courses, labs, and exams during that time. I have also worked as a researcher at McGill University and an instructor at Grant MacEwan University. Overall, I have had over six years of teaching experience, and I've found that private tutoring helps me find helpful new approaches to teaching students who are interested in science. In addition to working as a teacher and private tutor, I am also developing software modules designed to teach ecology, mathematical modeling, and programming.
