Private tutor in Montréal, Canada
Education
I studied Applied Mathematics in one of Mexico's best universities (ITAM) with a focus in Statistics and Microeconomics. Now I'm doing my final research project in "Recurrent Neural Networks" with a PhD mathematics candidate from UDEM, and tutoring part time while finishing it. During university I took courses like: Calculus 1, 2 and 3, Linear Algebra 1 and 2, Probability 1 and 2, Statistics 1, 2 and 3, so I'm very comfortable teaching high school level and the first years of university. I also worked in Business Consulting during University for McKinsey & Company.
Experience
I won the Mexican National Olympiad two straight years in high school and participated in the International Mathematical Olympiad. After this, I became involved in teaching for this competition at all levels. From giving conferences to ~100 students in the 1st phase, to personalised teaching to final 6 students that would participate in the National Olympiad. Also, I have given math extensive tutoring to high school and university students while I was studying university. I really enjoy teaching and I think I can help people see mathematics from another perspective and really understand it and enjoy it (or at least pass your exams!!)

Hobbies
I love mathematics, but I'm also really into art and culture. During university I got very involved in theatre. I actually performed in professional plays and I also wrote and directed one short film! What I want to say with this is that I'm not only a numbers guy, I also love communicating and connecting with people! I also love sports: tennis and soccer specially! I'm a really cool and chilled guy! :)
