I have a BA (Hons) degree in English from the University of Winnipeg as well as an MA degree in English from McMaster University. Completing my degrees has provided me with extensive experience working with professors and students in an academic environment as well as allowing me to develop and hone writing, editing, and communication skills.
Experience
I understand that studying and writing does not come naturally to everyone, but I believe that with help everyone can meet their academic goals. I enjoy helping students improve their writing and critical thinking skills through tutoring in essay writing as well as providing editing and proofreading services. My preference is to provide tutoring, editing, and proofreading online to University and College students; however, I am open to other options. During my Bachelor's degree at the University of Winnipeg, I started marking essays and assignments for professors in the English Department. In my final year, I took a course training me in tutoring and worked in the university's Writing Centre. Through this work, I gained experience helping students from diverse backgrounds to succeed in their studies. While completing my Master's degree at McMaster University, I worked as a Teaching Assistant providing instruction in weekly tutorials as well as marking assignments, papers, and exams.
